The story began when nearly 15 years ago, Outrun331 founder, Brendan Greenwood developed clinical depression and anxiety.
As Brendan put it, "I felt inadequate, embarrassed and the feeling of weakness and dependency crippled my outlook as to what could lie ahead." Read his full story on our blog.
Brendan created Outrun 331 as a way to inspire and help others who are struggling from mental health issues.
Where the name Outrun331 comes from ... 331,000 steps towards joy, it’s also how long it takes to run from Sydney to Canberra and Canberra to Narrandera!
Everyone feels better mentally, physically and emotionally after a run. There is an opportunity for people who are struggling and want to take up running to come alongside for a couple of kilometres, a day or the whole journey.
Along the run Outrun331 also engages with schools and community groups if you would like Brendan to speak or run a running workshop with your group please contact us.
